Walk in the footsteps of the homeless through our city center with an opportunity to visit service providers; hear directly from those living on the streets about conditions and challenges faced; discuss the city’s response to the lack of affordable housing; and come away with a unique perspective on how those without permanent housing survive in our city.
Area service providers we visit include Springs Rescue Mission, RJ Montgomery Shelter (Salvation Army), Catholic Charities and the Marian House, Urban Peak, Community Prep High School, Homeward Pikes Peak, Ecumenical Social Ministries, Family Promise (formerly IHN), Dale House, and Seeds Community Cafe. We also hear from the Homeless Outreach Team (CSPD) on homeless outreach; the Continuum of Care who helps to coordinate the move from homelessness to housing; and PPLD’s perspective on hosting the homeless daily in the area libraries. Our connections are strong in the community as we continue to add more homeless providers and expert speakers; we can customize any walk.

We can tailor our program to your needs: we offer 4-hour, 6-hour, 8-hour, and two-day walks to cover the gamut of homelessness here in the Springs.
