Youth Activist Training

Pikes Peak Justice and Peace Commission presents Youth Activist Training 2022: an activist training experience for youth ages 13-16+.

Participants will travel to Colorado Springs activist initiative locations such as City Hall, local permaculture gardens, homelessness resource centers, and a youth built park to see and hear first-hand about the impact of planning, action, and policy changes.

Participants will also learn essential communication skills, mindfulness strategies, and the steps of initiative planning. They will explore spoken word, music, and art as activism. During the final day of the training, participants will showcase their Activist Initiative to Participants and our activist community!
